1. Hi Eduardo, thank you for agreeing to do the interview. Could you tell us about your background and how you entered the startup world?

I’m originally from Argentina with an Italian heritage. After traveling around the globe and earning a Master’s degree in Marketing in Italy, I eventually moved to Germany. I found my place here in Berlin where I truly feel at home, even though my German is still a work in progress. I entered the startup world in Berlin as a way to open doors for my students from Le Wagon, showing them the incredible opportunities available beyond the bootcamp. I aim to encourage all our tech students to explore the vibrant ecosystem and the possibilities it offers.

2. Tell us about Le Wagon, a leader in immersive tech training. What’s your mission?

Le Wagon is a global leader in immersive tech and AI training. Our mission is to train people from all backgrounds in web development, data, growth marketing, and AI, providing them with the best learning experience of their lives and helping them accelerate their careers. We also assist companies in becoming more data-driven by leveraging their data and unlocking their employees’ potential through corporate training.

Founded in Paris in 2013, Le Wagon now boasts campuses in over 40 cities across 25 countries, including global tech hubs like Berlin, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, and Sao Paulo. We follow a holistic approach to support our students during and after their bootcamp, offering a robust network of more than 1000 hiring partners, personalized 1:1 career coaching, lifelong access to learning materials, and extensive networking opportunities. This comprehensive support system ensures our graduates are well-equipped to thrive in their careers long after completing our programs.

3. What is it about entrepreneurship and the startup world that attracts you?

I believe that entrepreneurship is akin to an art exhibition where creativity and innovation are on full display. Just as artists express their creativity through music, painting, or other forms of art, entrepreneurs channel their creativity into generating new ideas and solving complex problems. I find it incredibly rewarding to connect with individuals who possess this innovative mindset. Entrepreneurship offers a unique platform to continually explore and implement solutions, allowing me to collaborate with passionate, like-minded people dedicated to creating and pushing boundaries. This constant drive for innovation and improvement excites me.

4. As a Co-Founder, you had to overcome a lot of hurdles. Which advice would you share with other founders?

Having a great Co-Founder is fundamental to success. They are the person who will push and motivate you when you need that extra encouragement. In my last venture, Ombu Hub, I was fortunate to work with Nico Caro, who significantly elevated the business. A Co-Founder should complement your weaknesses, and finding someone who will support and challenge you is crucial. My advice is to seek out a Co-Founder who can provide the balance and drive needed to navigate the challenges of building a business.

5. What do you predict for the startup ecosystem in Berlin?

Berlin has the perfect combination of talent, the widespread use of English, diversity, and creative thinkers who constantly think outside the box. I see Berlin as a great place for growth and connection. The city’s unique blend of cultures and ideas fosters an environment where startups can thrive and innovative solutions can flourish. I predict continued growth and an increasing number of successful startups emerging from this vibrant ecosystem.

Thank you very much for sharing your story with us, Eduardo. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!
