CannaSkills BV
The Netherlands
Pre-seed · Netherlands
Every coffeeshop counter, trained every day.
CannaSkills is the training and compliance layer for cannabis retail: continuous staff training on mobile plus an audit-ready record per shop. Starting with the 563 licensed coffeeshops in the Netherlands.

The problem
Every course on the Dutch market is a single classroom day and a paper certificate. Courses need minimum group sizes and close a week ahead, so a hire starting Tuesday waits weeks. Days 2 to 365: nothing. No refresher, no owner view, no record beyond the certificate in a drawer.
Sources: jellinek.nl, svck.nl, cannabiscareer.nl. All one-day or self-paced formats, none publishes record-keeping.
Why shops pay
Several gemeenten (Dutch municipalities) make staff training a permit condition. Shops already pay EUR 125 to 300 per head for one classroom day, ex VAT. For a 5 to 15 person team that is EUR 600 to 4.500 per training cycle, plus a closed shift, repeated for every new hire. We are not creating a category, we are replacing a bad delivery format.
We add to the accredited day-course, we do not replace it. We do not issue the certificate itself, and never sell as if we did.

The product
Micro-lessons of 3 to 5 minutes, mobile, in Dutch and English: terpenes, hash, the nervous first-timer, what to say and what not to say. A new hire starts on day one, not at the next classroom date. XP, streaks and a shop leaderboard keep the whole team learning between hires.
Every shop builds a training record: who completed what, what expires when, a dated log per staff member, exportable for the gemeente (municipality). No cannabis training provider offers one. The proof lives in the system, not a drawer.

Market
Priced against what shops already pay per head. Base case: 38 shops and EUR 200k ARR by month 24, sold through the founders' own network. Bear 16 shops, bull 67.
Sources: shop count WODC 2024. Size split, price tiers and ARR scenarios are CannaSkills estimates; the first paid invoice validates the price.
Where we are
cannaskills.nl, waitlist and socials live. Curriculum v1 drafted, five lessons in NL and EN. Flutter V1 scope committed: lessons, quizzes, XP, owner dashboard, records layer. First pilot with a multi-location operator, baseline captured at kickoff, scored on average spend per customer over a two-month window. Selling starts at month 4. Target month 18 to 24: 20 to 30 paying shops.
Sources: CannaSkills plan, September 2026. Dates and numbers are targets, not commitments.
The raise
Convertible note, converts at the next priced round. 24 months of runway: dev infrastructure, company formation, sales travel in the Netherlands. Four equity-only founders with outside income, no salaries. CannaSkills B.V., one entity, one cap table.
The investor we want: an operator who knows this market from the inside and opens doors. Close to the product, not to the day-to-day. Observer rights, quarterly numbers, pro-rata in the next round.

The counter is where this industry meets its customer. We are building the standard it trains to.
First paid shops in the Netherlands in 2027. Then every market that regulates the counter.
